RizzitGo SpreadsheetConsolidate or split a parcel?

Compare two packing plans for the same items using readiness, dimensions, protection and written route conditions.

QUICK ANSWER

Compare one combined parcel with separate parcels for the same items. Include readiness dates, packed dimensions, minimum charges and protection needs; combining is not automatically cheaper.

A decision worksheet for a real quote. It does not recommend a carrier, a parcel-size limit or splitting to avoid import rules.

RizzitGo SpreadsheetCompare the same contents

RizzitGO’s public How It Works guidance describes consolidating stored items for onward shipping. The useful comparison is a combined plan versus a split plan for the same products and destination, with each plan quoted under its actual conditions.

Write down which items are ready now and which are still expected. A cheap combined estimate is less useful if it depends on waiting beyond an earlier item’s storage deadline. Keep that timing question separate from whether an item passed your inspection.

RizzitGo SpreadsheetRequest two complete plans

Ask for enough information to compare the proposals without relying on a single price-per-kilogram figure. DHL’s preparation guidance illustrates why the dimensions and weight of each packed piece matter.

RizzitGo SpreadsheetMake the trade-off explicit

A separate parcel may let a ready group leave earlier, but it can introduce another minimum charge and another delivery to manage. Combining can reduce duplicated outer packaging, while mixed shapes may require a larger carton. These are questions for the measured proposals, not guaranteed outcomes.

  • Keep protective packaging where it serves a real purpose.
  • Ask whether one item changes the permitted contents or route choices for the entire parcel.
  • Check each proposal’s delivery estimate and who handles its final mile.
  • Review storage deadlines before waiting for additional purchases.
  • Use accurate descriptions and values for every shipment; a split plan does not remove import obligations.

RizzitGo SpreadsheetSave a short decision record

Record which plan you chose and the reason: earlier dispatch, a lower confirmed total, better protection or another concrete priority. Keep the item list and the written quote with that decision. If the packed measurements later change, you can identify which assumption needs revisiting.

Items included: [identifiers and quantities]
Packed measurements: [each carton]
