Ask for the named terms, eligible goods, covered events, exclusions and claimant before paying for protection. An insurance badge or a carrier name alone does not answer those questions.
DHL Express is an example of policy distinctions. No cover, reimbursement or deadline is promised for any RizzitGO booking.
RizzitGo SpreadsheetIdentify the service you are buying
DHL Express describes shipment value protection as an optional service and explains that unsuitable packaging can fall outside protection. Its guidance also distinguishes covered transit events from every possible problem connected with a shipment. This illustrates why a short checkout label is not the full set of terms.
A route sold by an agent may use a different carrier, provider or contract. Ask who supplies the protection and which written document applies to your booking before borrowing the rules of an unrelated carrier example.
RizzitGo SpreadsheetGet answers to specific questions
Treat unanswered questions as unresolved, not as included benefits. Keep a dated copy of the conditions you receive. Do not infer that a higher declared value automatically produces the same reimbursement amount.
| Question | What a useful answer identifies |
|---|---|
| Who provides the protection? | The contracting party and applicable written terms |
| Which goods are eligible? | Any excluded contents and conditions |
| Which events are covered? | Loss, damage and any separately defined situations |
| What is excluded? | Packing issues, delay or other exclusions as actually written |
| How is compensation assessed? | The valuation method, limits and required proof |
| Who files and by when? | The eligible claimant, starting event and deadline |
RizzitGo SpreadsheetKeep packing and evidence in the plan
Protection does not replace an appropriate packing plan. If you request removal of a box or other protection, ask how that choice affects the applicable terms. Separate the desire for a smaller parcel from the conditions for a damage claim.
USPS’s domestic claims rules provide another example: evidence of insurance and value, plus retained packaging for relevant claims, can matter. That example is a reason to check your own process, not proof that USPS domestic rules govern your international parcel.

RizzitGo SpreadsheetRecord the decision before payment
Write down the service name, quoted cost, covered contents, terms date and where the claim instructions are stored. If a support reply conflicts with the written terms, ask for clarification before relying on it.
The useful outcome is an informed choice about the actual booking. This directory cannot validate a policy on the provider’s behalf, assess your claim or promise that a shipment event will be covered. Use the contracting service’s own documents for those decisions.
